Beautiful, Natural Organic Foods!
Simply Delicious.
If you look on my side panel you will notice a NEW button added. This new button is really a link that will take you to a site that teaches about TRUE foods.
By true, it is meant, NO Genetic engineering, or not Genetically modified. When you click on this link, you can also get a list of company's and products that are, and a list that are not genetically modified. I am thinking about just printing it up and going through my pantry with it; then taking it to the grocer with me.
I believe in eating what is real, natural, and created by the hand of God. I am not opposed to hybrid food... That is NOT the same as GE foods, or often referred to as GM or GMO's. Up until recently, I had really misunderstood the debate. I was and for the most part still am, utterly ignorant of what is REALLY going on in the industry, and what it was doing to MY health and the Health of my family. If you want to learn more click on the link. Or check http://www.seedsofdeception.com/
As with all my recipes, I can really TASTE the difference when I use Organic. The flavors are richer, Truer, and simply MORE delightful. And aside from HEALTH issues, TASTE matters too. Bon Appetite!
So THAT is what the new button is all about! Be blessed!

Beef Barley Soup!

Beef Barley
1 T Olive Oil
1/2-1 cup Chopped Onion
1 1/2 lb Stew Meat (chopped onion)
1 T Hungarian Paprika
1 bay leaf
6-8 Cups homemade Beef broth
2 medium carrots finely chopped (I use my pampered chef chopper)
1/3-2/3 cup barley
Heat oil, add onion and beef till brown. Add thyme, bay & broth. Bring this to boil. Reduce heat/simmer add carrots & barley cook minimum 1 hour. I heat this till barley is tender.
This is an ALL time favorite with my kids. If you can not use homemade beef broth, be sure to use msg free, or even better organic. When doing this add some geletin for digestion.
This soup is fabulous, wonderful with some hearty sourdough bread! This soup will work with guests or be just the right thing for a blustery autumn day. Bon Appetite!
